The Museum of fine art is designed to integrate with the terrain, i.e. to embed part of the museum functions into the mountain, then follow the mountain slope to organize the circulation from the waterfront to the mountain top, thus create the impressive cantilevered building feature and form the corresponding axis at the head of the “dragon vein”.

The design scheme emphasizes three aspects: ecology, nationality and function:Ecology---- The original topology is remained and existing elevation difference is used to create a dynamic shape; Nationality---- the representatives of traditional arts: brocade of Zhuang nationality and cave painting are adopted in designing the exterior and interior spaces; Function---- not only collection, exhibition and research, but also cultural, education and life functions and the audience shall not be limited to artist but the general public.
